Two ways to qualify

Two paths. One destination.

Clear the CBNEST, or qualify directly on the strength of your academic profile. Either way you meet the admissions team for an interview — and a counselling conversation for you and your parents.

Path A · via CBNEST

Clear the CBNEST and interview.

The default route for most applicants. A thoughtful 2-hour aptitude test — fair across boards and streams — followed by a counselling interview.

  1. 1Register online — 5-minute form, campus preference, Class 12 marksheet.
  2. 2Take the CBNEST — 2-hour aptitude test, online or at an offline centre.
  3. 3Interview round — a 30-minute counselling & motivation conversation.
  4. 4Offer & scholarship — within 72 hours of your interview.
Best for: any Class 12 student · science stream · 60%+ aggregate · any board · no prior coding knowledge needed.
Path B · Profile-based

Skip the test, go straight to interview.

For students with consistently strong academic records, top-tier board scores, or outstanding achievements. You can skip the CBNEST entirely and go directly to the interview round.

  1. 1Register online and upload your Class 10 & 12 marksheets plus any achievements.
  2. 2Profile review — our admissions team evaluates your record within 48 hours.
  3. 3Direct interview — if shortlisted, you skip the CBNEST and go straight to the interview round.
  4. 4Offer & scholarship — decision within 72 hours after the interview.
Shortlisted if: Class 10 & 12 aggregates both 90%+ · OR JEE Main percentile 90+ · OR a verified top-tier olympiad / hackathon / open-source / published-work record.
The admission journey

Five steps. Clear on paper. Clear in person.

From the moment you register to the day you walk into your first class — here’s exactly how the admission process runs.

  1. 01

    Register

    ~5 minutes · Free

Fill a short online form. Share your basic details, campus preference (GLA Greater Noida or Geeta Panipat), Class 12 marks, and — if you're on the profile-based path — upload your Class 10 & 12 marksheets plus any achievements.

    • Single form for both paths — pick CBNEST or Profile-based at the top.
    • Free to apply. No application fee for the 2026 batch.
    • Confirmation in 10 minutes — you'll get a registration email with next steps.
  2. 02

    Appear for the CBNEST

    2 hours · online

Take the Coding Blocks National Entrance & Scholarship Test — 2 hours, four aptitude sections, multiple choice. You can take it online (remote-proctored from home) or at one of our offline centres in metro cities. Profile-based applicants skip this step and go directly to Step 3.

Please join 30 minutes early on test day so our proctoring setup (camera, mic, ID check) works smoothly. Late-joiners lose that cushion — not the test time itself.
When you register, we auto-email you the CBNEST preparation kit — full-length sample paper, answer key, 10-day prep plan and interview prep notes. No separate request needed.
    • No prior coding knowledge required. The test evaluates aptitude, not syllabus memorisation.
    • Results in 48 hours — with a detailed section-by-section score report.
  3. 03

    Interview round

    ~30 min · On-campus or Online

A counselling-style conversation with a senior admissions member — for you and your parents. We talk about your goals, the fit between you and the program, and answer every question you have. You can choose on-campus or online. For online interviews, please join 10 minutes early to test your camera and mic.

    • Parents welcome — most interviews include at least one parent.
    • Not a coding interview — it's a fit & motivation conversation, not a technical grilling.
    • Both paths land here — CBNEST qualifiers and profile-based shortlists.

Interview · what to expect

A real conversation — not a coding grill.

The interview is a 30-minute counselling call between you, your parents and a senior member of the admissions team or probably the Founder's. We want to understand your motivation, background, and whether CBSOT is genuinely the right fit — for both sides.

  • Format: 30 minutes · on-campus or on video call · parents welcome.
  • Who interviews: a senior admissions member, sometimes with a faculty or alumni observer or probably if you are lucky, the Founder's.
  • Sample questions: “Why CBSOT?” · “Walk us through a small project or hobby.” · “What do you do when you get stuck?” · parents: “What concerns do you have?”
  • What we’re looking for: curiosity, honesty, learning attitude — not polished answers.

FAQ · Admissions

Every question we hear, answered honestly.

Do I need to know coding before taking the CBNEST?+

No. The CBNEST evaluates aptitude, not coding knowledge. Even the coding-aptitude section uses pseudo-code and logic puzzles — you don't need to have written a line of code before. We're testing how you think and how fast you can learn, not what you've already memorised.

Is the CBNEST free?+

Yes. The 2026 cycle has no application or test fee. Register, take the test, attend the interview — all free.

What qualifies me for the profile-based direct-interview path?+

Any of these — 90%+ in both Class 10 & 12, OR JEE Main percentile 90+, OR a verified top-tier record in olympiads, hackathons, open-source or published work. Submit your marksheets & achievements in the form and we'll review within 48 hours.

Can I take the CBNEST from home?+

Yes. It's a remote-proctored online test. You'll need a stable internet connection, a laptop/desktop with a webcam, and a quiet, well-lit room. Please join 30 minutes before your scheduled slot so our proctoring system (camera, mic, ID verification) gets set up cleanly. Offline centres are available in select metro cities for students who prefer that.

How long is the CBNEST and what do I get after registering?+

The test runs for 2 hours, 4 sections. The moment you register, we auto-email you the CBNEST preparation kit — a full-length sample paper, answer key, 10-day prep plan, and interview prep notes. No separate request needed.

What happens if I don't clear the CBNEST?+

You can retake the CBNEST in the next test window — up to two attempts per admission cycle. Your best score counts. If you still don't clear, our counsellors will help you explore alternative pathways.

Is the interview technical?+

No. It's a counselling interview, not a technical round. We talk about your motivation, background, and fit. Parents are welcome and most interviews include at least one parent.

How soon will I know if I'm in?+

Within 72 hours of your interview. Your offer letter arrives with your scholarship tier, fee schedule, and next steps for blocking your seat.

What does ₹ 50,000 seat-block mean?+

A one-time ₹ 50,000 seat-block amount confirms your place in the batch. It's fully adjusted against your Semester 1 fee on joining — it's not an additional charge.
