About the program
Is this a full B.Tech degree?+
Yes. Students enroll into a four-year B.Tech in Computer Science & AI through our university partners — GLA Noida and Geeta University Panipat — with academic operations and the degree governed by the respective university. CBSOT designs and delivers the practical-learning, mentorship and career experience on top of that.
How is this different from a traditional engineering college?+
Three core differences: students code from Year 1, every semester ends with real shipped projects, and industry mentors review work every single week.
What is the mode of instruction?+
CBSOT is fully on-campus. Some electives and mentor circles may run online, but the core experience is residential.
Curriculum
Is AI really taught from Year 1?+
AI literacy — using AI tools effectively — starts early. Formal ML and applied AI modules begin from Year 2, and a full specialisation track is available in Year 4.
Do students get to specialise?+
Yes. In Year 4, every student picks one specialisation track — Applied AI & ML, Full-stack Product Engineering, or Systems & Distributed Computing.
Admissions
Do I need prior coding experience?+
No. The admission test evaluates reasoning and aptitude, not programming knowledge.
When is the next test?+
Applications are open for the 2026 cohort. See the countdown on the admission test page.
Is there a scholarship?+
Yes. Top performers in the admission test are considered for the CBSOT scholarship program.
Campuses
Can I visit before applying?+
Yes. Both campuses host regular campus visits and sample classes. Write to us via Contact.
Is hostel available?+
Yes. Both GLA Noida and Geeta University Panipat offer residential accommodation.
Placements & career
Is there a placement guarantee?+
No serious institution should promise a guarantee — and we won’t either. What we commit to is process, and you can read exactly what that looks like on our Career Development page.
What roles do graduates typically target?+
SDE, ML Engineer, Data Engineer, Backend / Full-stack Engineer, Product Engineer, and founding-engineer roles.
For parents
How rigorous is the program academically?+
Extremely. The practical layer adds to the academic rigour — it does not replace it. Students still complete a fully-structured four-year university B.Tech.
How is student wellbeing handled?+
CBSOT campuses have structured mentor circles, weekly check-ins, and student wellbeing support. Parents are kept informed through a regular update cadence.
How can I speak to current students and their parents?+
Use the Talk to Students page — we can set up calls with students, and their families where useful.
Fees & other
What are the fees?+
Fee details and scholarship information are shared in the campus-specific admissions deck. Request it via Contact.
What exactly is CBSOT’s role vs. the university’s?+
Please see the disclaimer in the footer of every page — it explains the relationship clearly.
